“Holiday Fever Dream” is exactly what it sounds like: a Christmas song that wandered off the beaten path, fell down a candy-cane rabbit hole, and came back wearing glitter and bad decisions.
This track started differently than the rest. Usually I write the lyrics first and let the music follow, but this time, the sound came before a single line. I wanted something up-tempo, dancey, a little unhinged. Pop-queen energy meets Santa inside a snow globe that got shaken way too hard. A holiday fever dream in every sense. When I started writing the lyrics something in my head
Trying to get Suno to match what was in my head?
A journey.
A battle.
A test of my patience, and possibly my sanity.
This one took forever. But when it finally clicked, it came close enough to what I was chasing that I actually laughed out loud the first time the chorus hit.
This song exists for one thing only:
movement.
chaos.
sparkle.
seasonal delirium.
Set your phone down when you listen.
Turn the lights low.
Put it on speaker.
And dance around your living room—preferably in nothing but your skimpiest socks.
It’s Christmas.
But make it feral.
