Thank you for this honest and transparent post. Faith stopped being about certainty for me a while ago. The more certain the belief, the most skeptical I am of it. Religious certainty is fear wearing armor.

I understand you!

I have various difficulties with various religions, but I've observed God helping myself and others. Sometimes it takes time to recognize that help, but I've seen it again and again. My belief in religion has been lost, but not my belief in God.

I think still sitting in your doubts and wondering while still being lead to pray and think about these things means your faith might still be stronger than you think. Wrestling with questions doesn't shatter the belief imo.

I too struggled with doubt in my teenage years, seeing my mom get disrespected by the elders at the church she grew up in, met and married my dad at/in and raised my brother and I at/in- it was just too much to deal with. Fallible men fuck things up.
